3rd Session Of 9th Synod Of Nnewi Anglican Diocese Commences Tomorrow At Ozubulu Ekwusigo Council Area

Nnewi Diocese of the Anglican Communion has called for the compulsory teaching and learning of moral instruction in schools and colleges to improve the moral tone of the society.
The Bishop of the Diocese Right Reverend Ndubisi Obi who made the call at the Chapel of Grace Bishop’s Court Nnewi during a press conference to announce the commencement of the third session of the ninth synod of the Diocese to be hosted by Ozubulu Anglican community with the theme “understanding the time.”
He said that the call has become necessary in view of series of vices in the society especially among the Youths.
Bishop Obi said that during the synod which commences tomorrow with the dedication of the DONAC oil and gas filing Station built by the Diocese and presentation of the Bishops charge on Saturday tenth September, with the synod general thanksgiving taking place at Saint Mathews Anglican Church Ozubulu venue of the synod on Sunday disclosed that as part of efforts to ensure food security, Nnewi Diocese has injected more resources into DONAC farms located at Ozubulu and Okija respectively for enhanced productivity.
In their separate remarks shortly after the conference, the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee of the synod Sir Ben Dunu andChairman Publicity Committee Mr Alphonsus Igwebuike, expressed optimism that the diocesan mission and vision will be actualized.
