Wife of the governor of Anambra State, Nonye Soludo, says though times await child traffickers and abusers still operating in the state.

Mrs. Soludo stated this in Awka while reacting to the recent arrest of a seventy-five-year-old man, who allegedly raped and impregnated a thirteen-year-old girl under his care in Awka.

According to the governor’s wife, who described the act as the height of moral debasement, the days are numbered for both traffickers and abusers, who still think that Anambra State is a safe haven to ply their evil trade.

While noting that every step must be taken in the homes and general society, to protect women, children and the girl child,

She also urged those, who have witnessed or have genuine reports of abuses, especially those involving minors, to help authorities by identifying perpetrators.
