Ayamelum Local Govt Council Launches Clean And Green Initiative…

The Transition Committee Chairman of Ayamelum Local Government Area, Chief Livinus Onyenwe has described Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s Clean and Green Initiative as a practical approach towards improving the health conditions of the citizenry.

Speaking at the Ayamelum Council Secretariat, Anaku during the launch of the Clean and Green Initiative of Governor Soludo, Chief Onyenwe extolled the efforts of the Governor to ensure a clean and healthy environment, adding that Anambra State under Governor Soludo is relatively wearing a new look through a reformed sanitation programmes.

The Ayamelum Local Government Area Chairman, who monitored the sanitation exercise in various communities in Ayamelum through personal participation, commended the people of the area for maintaining clean environment and for complying with the sanitation programmes of the Soludo administration.

He urged stakeholders in various communities in Ayamelum to intensity campaign against unhealthy environment and commit their resources to assist the government in eradicating diseases which may arise as a result of dirty surroundings.

Chief Onyenwe enjoined Market leaders and traders in all the markets in Ayamelum to always ensure that their Markets are clean, while calling on school authorities in the area to reintroduce sanitation exercise in their various schools.

He appealed to the people of Ayamelum, especially politicians to reciprocate Governor Soludo’s development efforts in the area such as the ongoing road projects and other dividends of good governance by giving him the maximum support at all times.

Chief Onyenwe used the opportunity to thank Governor Soludo for employing a lot of Ndi Ayamelum into the school system as teachers among other benefits and urged the people of the area to shun acts capable of smearing the image of the Local Government Area.
