Petrol Subsidy Removal : Anambra State Assembly Commends Soludo On Interventions… 

Anambra State House of Assembly has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his recent intervention to mitigate the economic challenges of Ndi Anambra through his announcement of a package of palliatives.

The House passed the resolution following a motion sponsored to that effect by the member representing Ogbaru One Constituency, Honourable Noble Igwe during plenary.

Honourable Igwe explained that the sudden rise in the price of commodities has made life very difficult for low-income earners in Anambra State and the rest of Nigeria, including poor artisans, women, pensioners and other vulnerable populations.

He expressed joy that the palliative measures rolled out by Governor Soludo aimed at mitigating the economic challenges of the vulnerable population in state occasioned by removal of the fuel subsidy and abolition of dual forex trade will ameliorate the suffering of Ndi Anambra.

On his part, the member representing Orumba South Constituency, Honourable Emma Nwafor said that Governor Soludo has demonstrated that he feels the pain of the people by rolling out package of palliatives to address the hardship they were subjected to by removal of fuel subsidy.

On his part, the member representing Anaocha Constituency Two, Honourable Ejike Okechukwu noted that Ndi Anambra are the most privileged to have Professor Soludo as their Governor, given the economic situation of Nigeria today and thanked the Governor for his kind gesture.
