NYSC Corps Employers’ Workshop : Soludo Reassures Of Partnership…

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has reassured continued partnership with the National Youth Corps, NYSC on development.
Governor Soludo who stated this during the 2023 edition of the NYSC Corps Employers’ Workshop in Awka said that the scheme has over the years been noted for policies and programmes targeted at uplifting the youths and development of the rural communities.
Represented by the Chairman, NYSC Governing Board and Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Honourable Patrick Agha Mba, the Governor expressed satisfaction that the workshop is taking place at a time that the government is mobilizing forces to ensure that the youths of the State are appropriately directed, mentored, trained and maximally empowered to be entrepreneurs and employers of labour.
He added that the dream of the government can only be fast-tracked and actualized with the active involvement of the Corps Employers and urged NYSC staff and Corps Members in all the establishments in the State to be promoters of Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development.
On her part, the state Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chima Udeh, said the workshop aimed at addressing the well-being and security of Corps Members for optimal productivity is crucial, adding that over the years the NYSC has been contributing to the development of the state particularly in the areas of education, health care delivery, agriculture and infrastructure.
In his speech, Director General, NYSC, Mr. Yusha’u Dogara Ahmed cautioned employers of corps members against aiding and abetting their abscondment during their one-year national service.
