2023 President’s Teachers and Schools’ Excellence Award: Anambra on Top Again…

Anambra State Teachers have once again demonstrated that Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s commitment to welfare of teachers and giving rightful position to the teaching profession   has continued to yield the desired dividend.

The teachers, Oraekwu Obiageli Ruth of Carol Standard Convent Ichi, Mrs. Amaka Anaekwe, the Principal of Capital City Secondary School Awka and Ekumankama Ijeoma Leticia, Principal of Federal Government College Nise did Anambra State proud at the 2023 President’s Teachers’ and Schools Excellence Award during the 2023 World Teachers’ Day Celebration held at the Eagles Square Abuja.

Anambra State received two cars and one giant refrigerator as prizes during the event.

One of the cars was presented to Oraekwu Obiageli Ruth, who was adjudged the overall winner-best teacher private schools in Nigeria, while Ekumankama Ijeoma Leticia, the Principal of Federal Government College Nise received the other car for emerging the overall winner-best Principal Federal Unity Colleges in Nigeria. The Principal, Capital City Secondary School Awka Amaka Anaekwe Uchenna took the fourth position, Best Administrator public schools.

Reacting to the development, the Commissioner for Education Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh stated that Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s resolve to return Anambra State schools to smart nature is unparalleled.

Commissioner Chuma-Udeh stated that the exploits of Anambra State Teachers in the 2023 President’s Teachers’ and Schools Excellence Award was a demonstration of teachers’ happiness to Gov. Soludo’s support for the welfare of teachers.

The five thousand teachers already employed and the three thousand yet to be appointed, are part of Gov. Soludo’s efforts to ensure that Anambra State Schools are provided with enough qualified teachers.
