Anambra State Assembly Speaker Commends Soludo On Education Friendly Policies…

The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze says Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s efforts, reforms and policies on promotion of education in the state have distinguished him among his contemporaries as a renowned educationist.
Speaking on Governor Soludo’s donation of one point five billion naira to mission schools in the state, Right Honourable Udeze maintained that the gesture was a clear indication of the Governor’s unbiased disposition as the money was shared accordingly to the mission schools owned by the Anglican, Catholic, Pentecostal and other related churches in the state.
The Speaker enjoined the religious leaders of the benefiting churches to constantly pray God to give Governor Soludo the strength, wisdom and direction to enable him continue to provide good governance for the citizenry.
He called on the management of the mission schools to reciprocate Governor Soludo’s gesture by ensuring that they manage the resources prudently, urging them to rediscover those attributes for which mission schools were known such as discipline, morals and high academic records among others.
Rt. Hon. Udeze extolled Governor Soludo for introducing free education in the state as well as massive employment of teachers, a gesture he described as unprecedented.
On the celebration of this year’s International Teacher’s Day, the Speaker congratulated teachers in the state and urged them to comply with Governor Soludo’s charge on them to be more dedicated to their duties especially now that the Governor is repositioning the education sector.
