Creating Jamb profile for 2025/2026 Registration should be your number one priority, If you are planning to register for the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates can now create their profiles before the official registration starts. This will help reduce delays when UTME registration begins, due to number of candidates that will be using their platform
BELOW ARE STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE ON HOW TO CREATE JAMB PROFILE FOR 2025/2026 REGISTRATION
STEP ONE: ARRANGE AND GET YOUR DOCUMENTS READY
You will need to have your National Identification Number (NIN) ready. Make sure the phone number you want to use in creating your profile has not been previously used by someone else to register for UTME or DIRECT ENTRY in the past. Also, make sure the number is not on post-paid or special bundle package, this is because this process can only work if you have airtime on the sim at the point of registration.
STEP TWO: Create Jamb Profile
To begin your profile creation, follow the simple steps below
- Send your NIN by SMS to either 55019 or 66019 using your own phone number.
- Type “NIN,” leave a space, then add your 11-digit NIN number. The format should be like this: NIN 00123456789.
- Make sure you leave a space between “NIN” and your NIN number.
- After you send the message, you’ll get a 10-character Profile Code on the same phone number.
- If you registered in previous years, you will receive the same Profile Code on the number you used before.
Step Three: Saving Your Profile Code
The Profile Code you received from Jamb after creating your profile is important because it will be used for all future transactions with JAMB. Make sure to save it in a safe place, and remember the phone number you used to create your profile, as it will be the only way JAMB communicates with you later.
Step Four: Using Your Profile
Once your profile is created, you can now use your code for all future transactions with Jamb which include Application, Examination and Admission.
Here Are Few Tips You Must Remember
- The phone number you use to create your profile will be linked to your name and used for all messages about your 2025 or future JAMB applications, exams, and admission.
- If you are a returning candidate from previous years, you will still receive the same Profile Code on the number you used before.
- The profile you create now will stay the same for any future dealings with JAMB.
- Always remember the phone number you used, as JAMB will only contact you through that number.
