Anambra State Assembly Commences Screening Of Commissioner Nominees

Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Screening and Election Matters has commenced the screening of the twenty commissioner nominees submitted to the Anambra State House of Assembly by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

The screening, holding at the conference hall of the legislative complex, saw the committee screened the commissioner nominees in line with the provisions of the law.

In his remark, the chairman of the committee, Dr. Paschal Agbodike, who explained that the exercise is part of the constitutional requirements for their confirmation, revealed that the committee screened six commissioners thoroughly.

He said the commissioner nominees presented to the committee, all necessary documents requested from them and at the end of the screening, the committee will give a report on the performances of the commissioner nominees to Anambra State House of Assembly for possible confirmation.

HOWEVER, the committee adjourned sitting to Tuesday next week.
