NEWMAP Holds Summit On ICR Today

The Nigerian Erosion and Watershed Management Project, NEWMAP, will hold summit on Implementation Completion Mission, ICR, today at the newly constructed International Conference Centre, Awka.
NEWMAP Project Coordinator, Mr. Michael Ivenso said the summit will begin at nine o’clock in the morning, adding that the aim of the mission is to appraise results and achievements of the project in the past eight years of its implementation, in view of project closure in June 2022.
He disclosed that Anambra state Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo will be the chief host of the event, while the Honourable Minister of Environment, senior federal government functionaries, all twenty-three participating states in NEWAP and the World Bank will also participate.
