Anambra State Government says it will leave no stone unturned in ensuring elimination of quackery in the State health sector, as well as making basic healthcare services available for Ndi Anambra in all the Primary Healthcare Centers in the State.
The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike disclosed this while playing host to the Network of Health Partners comprising Community Empowerment Network, COMEN, Justice Development and Peace Caritas, JDPC, Nnewi, the media and civil societies during an advocacy visit in his office.
The Commissioner, who noted that many deaths would have been prevented in the State if Primary Healthcare Centres and General Hospitals were functional, said Governor Chukwuma Soludo is passionate about getting the health facilities in the State renovated and retooled to ensure that lives of Ndi Anambra are saved.
He explained that the Soludo administration will adopt the “Fix my PHC” strategy, which will, through transparency and accountability, synergise with the private sector to help renovate Primary Healthcare Centers in the State, with the reward of having their names immortalized on the structures.
