Buhari seeks APC governors support to pick successor

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday sought the backing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors in picking his successor.
He spoke at a consultative meeting with Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) at the Presidential Villa.
Also at the meeting was the APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
The President said all aspirants and stakeholders would be carried along to douse tension ahead of the convention.
President Buhari said: “You will all recall that APC came to power at the centre in 2015 through cohesive machinery, notwithstanding its status as the opposition party.
