Nigerian Army Cautions Against Unauthorized Use of Military Uniforms

Defence Headquarters has described the unauthorized use of military uniforms as criminal.

The bi-weekly briefing on troops activities and operational successes recorded in the various operational theaters of the six geo-political zones of the country for the month shows that there is increase in the use of military camouflage for criminal activities.

 

Reacting to the development, the Director, Defence Information, Major General Jimmy Akpor, reminded citizens that unauthorized use of military uniforms is criminal in itself.

 

He urged citizens to be observant and report any suspicious dressing or action to the appropriate authorities, and to be aware of how military personnel is supposed to be dressed.

While appreciating the media and citizens for their partnership and cooperation with the military and other security agencies in the quest to return peace to the country, Major General Danmadami urged them to continue to provide prompt and creditable information on the activities of enemies of the nation in their localities.
