Abdu wins Yobe PDP guber ticket

Alhaji Sheriff Abdu, a businessman has won the Yobe Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship ticket for 2023 poll.

Announcing the result in Damaturu, the Returning Officer, Dr Aminu Abdullahi, said Abdu polled 295 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Dr Adamu Tikau, who scored 129 votes.The Returning Officer said a total of 539 voters were accredited in the election, 533 votes were valid, while six votes were invalid. (NAN)
