All is set as the “Unusual Praise” Gospel Musical Concert takes place in Onitsha… 

The much awaited Gospel Musical Concert organised by the Catholic Church of Divine Mercy,Lagos,which is popularly referred to as “Unusual Praise”is set to take the commercial city of Onitsha by storm.

Already top Gospel artistes have landed in Onitsha and bracing up for the Gospel music carnival which is expected to change many lives for good.

The Gospel Musical Concert which is to hold on Friday evening at the Holy Trinity Basilica Square Onitsha, promises to be star studded,and spiritually enriching.

Addressing journalists on Thursday evening,leader of the Unusual Praise team in Onitsha,Barrister Mrs Tina Igbokwe listed some of the numerous Gospel artistes who will perform on the ocassion.They are,the quintessential Chinyere Udoma, Ada Jesus, Steve Crown and Blessed Sunday.Others are the renowned Catholic song writer,composer and instrumentalist,Dr Sir Jude Nnam,Bro Chike Oruche,Blessed Modesta,Joe Vibes,Queen Edegwa,Chinweoke and Kenz Music. Also featuring are The Nkwa group,AVOMA singers and many other groups.

Barrister Tina Igbokwe while unveiling the artistes pointed out that the Unusual Praise event was not new in Onitsha and that it’s previous outing and impact have changed many lives and converted over 1000 people to Christ. Mrs Igbokwe also revealed that the Unusual Praise group has empowered many enterpreneurs financially towards life changing ventures adding that many beneficiaries will emerge from the empowerment programme scheduled for the Friday event.

In his remarks,a renowned Catholic song writer and composer,Dr Sir Jude Nnam expressed delight on the impressive arrangement for the Gospel music show. According to him,the power of singing cannot be underestimated since it is generally believed that any one who sings,prays twice. He pointed out that music had done many good things on people’s lives and therefore should be encouraged. He commended organisers of the musical show, saying it was coming at a time most people deserve a break from the harsh economic situation in the country.
