Anaku Community Cries Out As Flood Devastates Houses, Farmlands, Others

Residents of Anaku community in Ayamelum Local Government Area have joined other communities in the council area and other council areas in the state including Anambra East, Anambra West and Ogbaru to cry out and send a “Save Our Soul” message to the Anambra State government on the flood ravaging their community.
They are asking the state government for immediate intervention.
The President General of Anaku, Mr. Paul Nwuba told the newsmen that the natural disaster has become routine and called for effective solutions to end the yearly bitter experience.
He appealed to the State Government and other agencies to quickly make available speed boats to rescue trapped victims and also pleaded for the release of relief materials to enable the displaced victims to survive the hard times.
