Anambra State Assembly Resumes Sitting After Break

Anambra State House of Assembly resumed sitting after two months break.

The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor while welcoming members of the House back from recess, charged them to discharge their legislative duties with renewed vigor.

The Speaker read a letter from the immediate family of the Majority Leader, Late Dr. Nnamdi Okafor informing the House of his death and order of programmes for his burial ceremony.

The family of the deceased also expressed gratitude to the House for all their cooperation and efforts in seeing that the remains of the Late lawmaker was brought back to Nigeria.

Thereafter, a minute silence was observed in honour of the late majority leader and signing of condolence register by the legislators followed later.

The House adjourned sitting to Thursday this week.
