Anambra State Govt Approves More Road Projects…

The road construction revolution of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, got added boost as the Anambra State Executive Council, ANSEC, approved the release of the sum of five billion, two hundred and seventy million, six hundred and twenty thousand, eighty-two naira for the construction of Isuofia Township Roads (Phase 1) as an extension of the Igboukwu-Ikenga-Ekwulobia ongoing road project with a spur into Isuofia-Nanka.

The over nine-kilometer road contract was awarded to A.G Vision Construction Nigeria Ltd with a completion period of twelve months.

A release signed by the Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu states that ANSEC also approved the release of the sum of three billion, three hundred and ninety-seven million, two hundred and eighty-four thousand, four hundred and ninety-two Naira for the construction of Awkuzu-Umunya Road in Oyi LGA, Anambra State, measuring six point six-one kilometer.

The contract was awarded to Lebtech Construction Limited with a completion period of twelve months.

Furthermore, the release of the sum of two billion, nine hundred and fifty million naira was approved by ANSEC for the construction of Owelaja Obosi Flood Control Infrastructure in Idemili-North LGA, Anambra State, and the contract was awarded to Stefanutti Stocks Hapel with a completion period of eighteen months.

The release stated that the sum of one billion, one hundred and sixty million naira for the reconstruction of some selected roads and Silas Works Road to Creek Road measuring two point six four zero kilometer in Onitsha, was also approved and the contract was awarded to Rojel Nigeria Limited, with a completion period of five months.

According to the release, ANSEC equally approved the release of over one billion, one hundred and fifty-three million, six hundred and thirty-three thousand naira for the reconstruction of some selected streets in Onitsha: Ziks Avenue, Ozomagala Street and Link Road of three point two five three kilometer.

The contract was awarded to Grandstar Limited with the completion period of six months.
