Anambra State Government has ordered squatters constituting environmental nuisance along Hausa Quarters, Amawbia-Nise Road to evacuate with their property with immediate effect.

The Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, gave the directive while on a spot check around the vicinity.

The Deputy Governor maintained that the squatters who are mostly scavengers are encouraging refuse dumps, adding that the government is out to clear all refuse dumps in the area and make Anambra State a habitable environment.

The Deputy Governor urged the citizens to desist from illegal dumping of refuse and to ensure that they make use of the waste bins provided by the government.
