ASATU President, Akpudo Commends Anambra State Govt On Promise To Implement N25m Community-Choose-Your-Project Scheme…

The National PresidentAnambra State Association of Town Unions ASATU, Chief Titus Akpudo has commended the efforts of the State government in the implementation of its promise of twenty-five-million-naira Community-Choose-Your-Project Scheme in no distant time.

Chief Akpudo, who gave the commendation while speaking to journalists in Awka, said Governor Chukwuma Soludo is determined to engender massive grassroots development through the twenty-five-million-naira community choose your project initiative.

He explained that very soon communities will begin to submit proposals to the government on their preferred projects which the government will sponsor through the community development scheme, while praising the governor for upgrading the scheme from twenty million of the previous administration to twenty-five million naira.

Apart from the Community-Choose-Your-Project Scheme, Chief Akpudo equally disclosed that the present administration has enthroned relative peace in various communities.

He thanked Governor Soludo for his efforts in rural development, adding that road construction has been executed across the twenty-one Local Government Areas, as well as planting of Coconut and Oil Palm seedlings, that will boost the revenue of the State.

Chief Akpudo noted that the five thousand teachers employed and over three hundred health workers for health were all from Anambra communities, including beneficiaries of one youth two skills Programme of the State government.
