Prompt response of Anambra Fire Service prevents major fire outbreak–Agbili

The prompt response of the Anambra State fire service to a failed tanker fully loaded with petrol has prevented the major fire outbreak at MCC upper Iweka Onitsha.
The truck, which was descending a small hill toward upper Iweka lost control and ran into a gutter dislodging the tank from the head of the truck leading to heavy flow of petrol toward upper Iweka.
The Anambra State Chief Fire Officer, Mr. Martin Agbili observed that no life was lost, only traffic gridlock.
While addressing the crowd, he cautioned that people should always stay away from fallen petrol tanker especially the one with liquid content which may trigger fire outbreak as a result of heat.
The state fire service officer thanked those who called immediately the tanker fell, saying that the call aided quick emergency intervention to the scene of the incident by firemen.
He urge Ndi Anambra to always adhere to fire preventive measures and to call immediately state fire service in case of any fire outbreak.
