Qatar 2022: Rohr fires broadsides after Eagles’ exit

MEANWHILE, German coach Gernot Rohr believes an inquest into the Super Eagles’ failure to pick a ticket to the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup would be a welcome development.
Rohr had a relatively successful period with the Super Eagles as the national team qualified for Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup as well two consecutive Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2019 Egypt and 2021 Cameroon.
Responding to enquiries, the 68-year-old former Bayern Munich defender said the Super Eagles have since lost their composure hence the spate of recent poor results. Knocked for sticking to his guns during his time, Rohr said it was about time those who took decisions regarding Super Eagles should be queried for what went wrong.
