Scarcity Of New Naira Notes : Traditional Ruler Of Awka Obi Nwosu Calls For Patience…

The traditional ruler of Awka Obi Gibson Nwosu has called on Nigerians to exercise patience with the federal government and Central Bank on its monetary policy.

Speaking in an interview with, Obi Nwosu, said that though many Nigerians are passing through difficulties in search of the new naira notes of one thousand, five hundred and two hundred naira, the people should remain calm and be law abiding since according to him the difficulty will one day be over. Obi Nwosu who described the monetary policy as the statutory function of the Central Bank however regretted the difficulty the people are passing through in search of both old and new naira notes.

He called on the government to learn how to carry the people along in making policies advising them to desist from making policies that will cause hardship for the people.

The traditional ruler of Awka community charged the people to be alive to their civic responsibilities reminding them of the need to take active part during elections.

Obi Nwosu who is a one-time Deputy Chairman of Anambra State council of traditional rulers charged the people to always safeguard government facilities in their various areas against vandalization.

He however called on the Central Bank to seek ways of making the new naira notes available to the people to reduce their sufferings as many people have resorted to sleeping in banks in search of the new currency.

Obi Nwosu commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for all his giant strides in Anambra State especially in road infrastructure calling for its sustenance.
