Soludo Kick Starts FRSC 2022 Ember Months Safety Campaign In Awka

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has flagged off the 2022 Ember Months Safety Campaign of the Federal Road Safety Corps.

 

The ember month safety campaign is a nationwide programme by the FRSC targeted at increasing awareness on safe road practices during the ember months.

 

the flag-off in Anambra is hosted by the State Command of the Corps and has as its theme, “avoid speeding, overloading and unsafe tyres to arrive alive”.

 

Flagging off the campaign in Awka, Governor Soludo represented by the Commissioner for Transport, Barrister Patricia Igwebuike, commended FRSC for the programme aimed at reducing road crashes and saving lives in the state.

 

The Governor warned motorists and Ndi Anambra to be cautious while using the road, obey rules guiding driving, and condemned carrying infants at the front of vehicles.

 

While acknowledging the efforts of the state government towards provision of patrol and other operational logistics that have been aiding the Corps in achieving its mandates, the FRSC Zonal Commanding Officer in-charge of Anambra, Delta and Edo states,
