Soludo Reassures Of Partnership With Private Sector To Tackle Housing Deficit In Anambra…

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has promised continued partnership with private individuals and corporate organizations in addressing housing deficit in Anambra State.

He gave the promise during the ground breaking ceremony for Solution Housing Estate, Aguaba layout in Awka.

Governor Soludo, represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, said the partnership will help in realizing his administration’s vision of making Anambra livable and prosperous.

He called for more of such projects in the State, adding that other critical infrastructure, such as road and leisure parks will be provided in strategic locations to make life enjoyable in Anambra State.

On his part, the state Commissioner for Lands, Professor Ofornze Amucheazi, said his ministry will continue to provide necessary support to realize the Soludo administration’s vision for a new Anambra.

Speaking on behalf of the team of land developers, Mr. Emeka Onwudinjo, said they are determined to replicate what are obtainable in developed societies in Anambra, in line with vision of the Soludo administration of addressing housing deficit, especially for low-income earners, adding that the housing project will be ready in about two years’ time.

He called on the people to show interest in using the National Housing Fund, NHF, in addressing housing needs.

On behalf of the land owners, the Secretary of Umuike-na-Anunwa family, Umuayom Awka, Chief Chris Ndife, said they are interested in taking the lead in developing Awka, expressing the hope that the project will make people interested in home, instead of land ownership.
