The Anambra State Government said that it has concluded plans to build the Oba Pharmaceuticals market.

The government said in doing that it would have completed plans by the state to move the popular Ogbogwu International Bridgehead market to the proposed Oba International market.
Gov. Charles Soludo made this known while laying the foundation stone at the site. He said that the popular Ogbogwu International Bridgehead market, Onitsha would be leveled to the ground in the next 24 months, urging the traders to make the movements in earnest.
Speaking during the foundation laying ceremony of the Central Pharmaceutical & Allied Products, Coordinated Wholesale Centre (CWC), project Oba, Gov. Soludo requested for another land to establish pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and residential estate that would stand out in the whole of Africa.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Oba Regent, Prince Noel Ezenwa on behalf of Ndi Oba expressed delight that the CWC project is finally coming into existence.
The President General (PG), Oba Patriotic Union, Rev. Chris Emelie said that it was coming at the appointed time and that the youths, Oba Patriotic Union Executive, Oba people at home and in The Diaspora including the Royal Cabinet were working together to embrace and support the project.
