President Bola Tinubu arrived Owerri, the capital of Imo state, on Monday, January 15, at around 1:00pm to attend Governor Hope Uzodimma’s second-term inauguration.
The president had earlier participated in a wreath-laying ceremony for the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
Governor Uzodimma, along with several other prominent government officials and leaders from the South-East state, welcomed him at the airport.
Along with a few officials, the Nigerian president will inaugurate projects in the state following the ceremony at Owerri’s Dan Anyiam Stadium. President Bola Tinubu inaugurated the redesigned Sam Mbakwe International Airport road, named after him.
The redesigned Airport road was upgraded from a dualised two-lane to a four-lane highway fitted with street lights from Owerri-Aba Road to the Airport and it was named ‘Bola Tinubu drive.’
The president is also expected to launch the new Twin Tollgate.
