The Traditional ruler of Awka Community, Obi Gibson Nwosu has called on Nigerians to see the forthcoming Population and Housing census as a national assignment.
Speaking in an interview in his palace, Obi Nwosu who described accurate census figures as catalyst for sustainable development charged the federal government to provide a conducive environment that will ensure the realization of accurate census figures in the country.
Obi Nwosu urged the federal government to use the forthcoming Population and Housing census in Nigeria to build more confidence in governance by giving the people accurate and reliable census figures.
He called on the people of Awka Community to identify with the Census exercise which he said will be a yardstick for the distribution of democracy dividends across the country.
Obi Nwosu used the opportunity to call on the federal government to map out far reaching measures that will create a bright future for the teeming youths.
He commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for series of Programmes aimed at improving the living standard of the people especially in the areas of road construction and reconstruction which Awka the capital of Anambra State is benefiting from, calling for its sustenance.
